Blue Star Memorial

On August 2nd, the Escalon/Farmington Garden Club officers met with Robert Rickman, San Joaquin County District 5 Supervisor, Juston Collins, Public Works Superintendent, City of Escalon and Steve Moore, San Joaquin County Sheriff (Retired).

The Escalon – Farmington Garden Club has adopted a project to establish a Blue Star Memorial to honor the Armed Forces who have defended the United States of America.

We met to finalize the establishment of the Blue Star Memorial. The Garden Club has been fund raising to cover the costs of purchase and construction of the memorial to be located at the Community Center.

Supervisor Rickman awarded the Escalon/Farmington Garden Club a check for $3300.00 to help the club pay for the expenses.

Juston Collins from City of Escalon has agreed to facilitate the construction and ongoing maintenance of the Memorial and Steve Moore has been instrumental in guiding us through the complex processes involved.
